These Terms of Use govern your use of the Vocadu mobile app ("Vocadu", "the app", "we"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Vocadu teaches English vocabulary with spaced repetition to people preparing for Turkey's YDS and YÖKDİL exams. The content is for educational purposes and does not guarantee any exam result. Vocadu is not affiliated with ÖSYM or YÖK.
2. Your account
The app creates a guest account for you on first launch; you can link it to Google or Apple. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings > Account); see Account Deletion.
3. PRO, subscriptions and payments
- Vocadu is free to use. PRO adds an ad-free experience, unlimited hearts, and advanced statistics, and is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
- Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Price and period are shown on the purchase screen.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel before it ends, the paid subscription starts automatically. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds are subject to the refund policies of the store you purchased from (Apple or Google).
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the app lawfully, not to cheat in duels, leagues or friend features, not to interfere with the app or its servers, and not to use usernames or content that harass other users. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
5. Intellectual property
The app, its design, vocabulary content and other materials belong to Vocadu or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-commercial right to use the app for learning; you may not copy, reproduce or redistribute its content.
6. Limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page; significant changes are announced in the app.
